Mischa Barton was born on 24 January 1986 in Hammersmith, the United Kingdom. The O.C. she played Marissa Cooper a socialite. She appeared also as a character in The Sixth Sense, a suspense film. Barton's performance, along with those of the co-stars Jessica Pare and Piper Perabo, was widely praised. Comaneci is also active in a variety of charities, serving as one of both the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association Board of Directors and Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. In addition, she continues to give cash and time to a variety of organizations, including The Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital located in Bucharest.
