Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
The shadows she observed on the lawn inspired her to develop an approach that does not, however, paint the selected object onto canvas. Rather the subject is transformed into a re-creation of itself and the canvas becomes the carrier of it's individual interpretation of the subject, particularly when the subject is live or perishable objects for example, like humans or fruit. Alexa Meade's work is ephemeral and the image is what remains. Trompe-l'oeil art is created using the two processes of photographing and painting. The result is two-dimensional flattened photograph. Meade can sometimes incorporate her model in the environment around her that allows her to work within the world of their own. Thereby repealing the boundaries between photography, painting performance and installation.
